They syntax is proper, it's just WordPress mangling the double quotes into fancy quotes that is creating a problem. The quotes are necessary to launch a profile with spaces.

correct syntax for skipping the profile manager and launch firefox wit profile named Clean is:

firefox -no-remote -P Clean

instead of

firefox -no-remote -P “Clean” who will launch the firefox profile manager

If you add the -no-remote argument to the firefox command, you can run multiple instances with different profiles. For example:

firefox -no-remote -P default

This runs a new instance of Firefox with the default profile. You can also run the following to launch a new instance and have Firefox as for the profile:

firefox -no-remote -P

Changing your shortcuts or launchers to use these commands rather than just "firefox" allows for easy launching of different profiles with a click of the mouse.

How can two instances of firefox run, but each with a different profile? The first instance will load the profile the associated launcher indicated, but once that is running, the other launcher, despite being for a different profile, will just open a new window using the already open profile.

Good instructions. You might want to consider this regarding the default profile launcher:
"Never use -no-remote to start the "default" profile (the one that is set to open without asking when you launch Firefox). That's because when you launch Firefox, for example, by clicking a link in your mail program, you will get a Firefox is already running but is not responding message if the default profile is already in use. The solution is to always start the default profile normally and launch all others with -no-remote."
