&lt;pre&gt;/usr/shar/zoneinfo/Asia/Calcutta&lt;/pre&gt;

should be

&lt;pre&gt;/usr/share/zoneinfo/Asia/Calcutta&lt;/pre&gt;

When I tried your commands with the typo in place, I got the same results. When I fixed the path, everything worked properly.</description>
